The makeup trends that will succeed this spring

Spring is here, and with it, a complete explosion of color thanks to the sunniest days, the flowers and, of course, the trends of this season. This year, makeup puts on its best clothes again to bring us new looks with which to destroy this season.

Although we will continue with some techniques that we have been using in recent months, we will give you a tap cooler to update them and turn them into a ‘must beauty’ again. As always, in addition to the catwalks, social networks are going to greatly influence these trends, which mix the natural with daring touches of color.

No fanfare. Serene and powerful looks that recover the most solid concepts of beauty: health, simplicity, elegance, glamour… With cared for and juicy skin, discreet pastel tones and flattering touches of ‘glow’. You sign up?

It is achieved by lengthening the eye, both for the tail as by the tear, with the help of an ‘eyeliner’. “The result is a very flattering ‘lifting’ effect,” explains Adrián Rux, Digital Brand Ambassador of L’Oréal Paris, who recommends “enhancing the lower part and the inside of the eyes.” If we provide shade, he recommends “those with a metallic effect and using tape, as a template, to define the shape.”

You can achieve it with any type of ‘eyeliner’, but for beginners the best ones are those that come in marker format, since we can be more precise with them without effort. An example can be the Infallible Grip 36H Micro-Fine Liner by L’Oreal Paris (€13.97), with which we can achieve great precision and a fixed result.

After years of earth tones we return to the hand color of blue, which suits most women, and “makes the eye look higher, more open and with a lot of power” explains Eva Novillo, Clarins national ‘make up artist’. To get that worn-out blue of your favorite jeans, the expert suggests starting with dark blue on the outside of the eye, above and below, and adding a blue lighter in the center and towards the tear duct Blend everything and that’s it!

You can easily achieve this effect with a palette of blue tones, although with a quartet like the Ombre 4 Colors 06 Midnight by Clarins (€50).

“To achieve this effect we need a liner a little darker than our lip, and a nude lipstick, they take more, but it can be any color,” says Esther Nieto, make-up artist and Shiseido trainer. “Outline the lip slightly above its natural line and then fill in with the lipstick. To add dimension, put ‘gloss’ in the center of the lip.”

Of course, you need a lip liner and the ‘influencers’ opt for it. Lip Cheat by charlotte tilbury (€23), with a waterproof formula that lasts up to 6 hours. Accompany it with a ‘nude’ lipstick, like the TechnoSatin Gel Lipstick 504 Data Stream by Shiseido (€39.50), with satin effect.

Here preparation is the key. “To achieve a perfect ‘glossy’ look, it is important to first exfoliate the lips and hydrate them well with appropriate products. Better if, in addition, they provide a volumizing and redensifying finish”, explain Alexandra Díaz and Piti Pastor, official make-up artists for Essence and Catrice Spain. To achieve extra juiciness, they recommend textures in oils to nourish the lips, “which you can also apply to cheeks and eyelids and give a ‘glow’ touch to all makeup.”

To give it a touch of volume, bet on a volumizing gloss, like the Volumizing Extreme Lip Booster of Catrice (€4.69), with cucumber oil and a volumizing finish.
